Exercise reduces stress, which means less cortisol floating around to wreak havoc on your skin.

Less stress = fewer breakouts and a smoother complexion.

1. Cardio Workouts:

This is anything that is fast paced. For example, activities like running, cycling and high intensity interval training (HIIT) boost circulation and increase blood flow.

2. Yoga:

We all love a bit of yoga, don't we?! It's not just good for your soul though. Yoga's gentle stretches improve blood flow and reduce stress. Plus, the focus on deep, controlled breathing is perfect for detoxing the skin.

3. Strength Training: Okay, this might not be for everyone.. but, engaging in resistance training, like lifting weights or body weight exercises, enhances overall blood flow which helps nourish skin cells. Firm skin and toned muscles? Yes, please!

Mix these exercises into your routine to keep your skin glowing and your body feeling great.

Grabbing an apple and a scoop of almond butter is the perfect quick bite before you exercise. This snack is a nice mix of natural sugars, healthy fats, and protein, keeping your energy levels steady as you work out.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large apple, cored and sliced

  • 2 tablespoons almond butter

Instructions:

  1. Slice the apple into even pieces.

  2. Spread almond butter on each slice.

  3. Enjoy this tasty treat about 30 minutes before your workout for a boost of energy.
